Freshman - English

The freshmen English classes competed in the Montague-Capulet Family Feud. Each hour was divided into the two famous Shakespearean families of Romeo and Juliet. The families had to sport their chosen colors each day and look up and submit challenge questions about Shakespeare and the Elizabethan times. Points were close, especially in fourth hour when the point variation wavered between 2-3 points daily. The final competitive challenge was to produce a family crest that displayed the family colors and emblems that best represented themselves. In both fourth and fifth hour the winning family was decided by one point in one category of the family crest challenge. Fourth hour was exciting enough when tallying the voting for the family crests due to the fact that the running point tallying had been so close all along, but fifth hour was a tremendous upset when the trailing family came from behind. The Capulets of fifth hour swept four of the five categories in the family crest challenge in what was a very close run for each category, surmounting to just one point in one category allowing them to take the win. The winning family in each hour was treated to pizza over lunch. Winning families are third hour---Montagues, fourth hour---Montagues, fifth hour---Capulets. The crests are on display in the third floor of the high school.
