2024 Solar Eclipse
Winchester Grade School will be providing an opportunity for students to view the Solar Eclipse on the afternoon of Monday April 8th. This is optional for students; they do not have to participate. The partial viewing begins around 12:44 and ends around 3:18, with peak time around 2:02. The plan is to take students out to view the eclipse as close to the peak time as possible. The school will have glasses that students will use to view the eclipse. Our staff will use this event as an opportunity to instruct students about the event, and proper methods of viewing during the eclipse, including not looking at the sun without proper eye protection.
