Meal changes

We are pleased to inform you the Winchester CUSD #1 will continue

participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs
called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the current school year.

What does this mean for you and your children attending Winchester Schools?
Great news for you and your students! All enrolled students of Winchester CUSD #1 are eligible
to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch as school at no charge.


All students who would like seconds (Ala carte) on breakfast or lunch, they may purchase
those items for a small cost.  Main entree = $1.00, side item = .50 and milk = .30. Student will
be required to have funds in their account to purchase extras. All deposits can be made in
the school offices.


Salad bar will be offered for 4th grade thru 12th grade only. That will start on Monday, August
19th.

Disclosure of Federal Participation

Projects or programs funded in whole or in part with Federal grant money must credit the Federal government for the Federal government's portion of the financial support. This web page citation informs the public that the use of Federal dollars in Winchester CUSD #1 meets the Stevens Amendment requirement. Staff development opportunities, resource purchases, and personnel have been funded in whole or in part with Federal entitlement dollars.

Public Law 101-166, Section 511, Steven's Amendment

SEC. 511. When issuing statements, press releases, requests for
proposals, bid solicitations and other documents describing projects
or programs funded in whole or in part with Federal money, all
grantees receiving Federal funds, including but not limited to State
and local governments, shall clearly state (1) the percentage of the
total costs of the program or project which will be financed with
Federal money, (2) the dollar amount of Federal funds for the
project or program, and (3) percentage and dollar amount of the
total costs of the project or program that will be financed by nongovernmental
sources.
